Our first delivery of screened, finished compost went to the Newark Street School today. We measured it by the square yard in a 3' x 3' x 1' frame that Terrance made and discovered that a cubic yard fit exactly in three toters. That made it easy! We are so proud of the finished product, complete with lots of healthy worms. It is perfect that it should go to the Newark school's gardens, since they were our first food-waste contributers.
The frames look beautiful and who knew that they could produce such a healthy boy!

Some thoughts re Mission...
A clear, compelling major accomplishment that is a focus of effort based on the purpose
Is achievable – but demanding and risky
Is big, bold, audacious
Can be quantified, measured
Concise is better for memorability
Long duration
And vision...
A mental image, a vivid description, of what the organization will be like when its mission is achieved
Expanded, enriched, colorful perspective of the mission brought to life
Is imaginative, lofty, challenging, bold, optimistic
Does not have present-day limitations, conflicts, or other barriers to creativity
Sometimes written in the present tense as if it has already been achieved
